These Days | Poetry

The impulsiveness of my mind,

Says “go here, go there”.

When my heart says “Let’s go anywhere”.

Sweeping waves dulling my thought,

Brave in my journey as the thoughts take me under.

Loud growls from my body, much like thunder.

Screams crippling,

Emotion high.

Cannot say I did not try.

Darkness creeping as night falls.

Dawn breaks as my mind recalls.

Fresher today as a seasonal breeze.

Sure that nature and heaven agrees.
