The training portal provides workers with easy access to required and ongoing learning in one central location. Workers can find mandatory training modules and refresher courses. The portal supports continuous learning, compliance, and professional development, allowing staff to complete training at their own pace and track progress.

Trauma Informed Care

This training provides AmeCare staff with a clear understanding of trauma and its impact on people receiving NDIS supports. It outlines practical, trauma-informed approaches that promote safety, trust, choice, and empowerment in everyday practice. The session supports staff to recognise trauma responses, communicate respectfully, and deliver supports that reduce distress and strengthen positive outcomes for participants.

Medication

This training equips AmeCare staff with the knowledge and responsibilities required to safely support participants with medication under the NDIS. It covers correct medication procedures, documentation, storage, administration, and incident reporting, while reinforcing duty of care, participant choice, and compliance with AmeCare policies and NDIS requirements.

Mealtime Management

This training supports AmeCare staff to provide safe, respectful, and person-centred mealtime support. Staff will learn about safe food preparation, correct positioning, supervision requirements, and how to support individual dietary needs and preferences to reduce risks and promote positive mealtime experiences.

WHS, Infection Control and Risk

This training provides AmeCare staff with an understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities, infection prevention and control practices, and effective risk management. Staff will learn how to identify hazards, follow safe work practices, use PPE correctly, manage incidents, and report risks to maintain a safe, healthy environment for participants, staff, and visitors.

Dysphagia Management

This training will help AmeCare staff understand what dysphagia is, how to recognise signs and risks, and how it can impact the people we support. Staff will learn safe mealtime practices, texture-modified diets, correct positioning, and what to do in an emergency to reduce choking risks and support participant safety and wellbeing.

Emergency Management

This training outlines AmeCare’s emergency management procedures and staff responsibilities during an emergency. Staff will learn how to recognise different emergency situations, respond quickly and safely, communicate effectively, and follow evacuation and incident reporting processes to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants and staff.

Stoma Care

This training equips AmeCare staff with the knowledge and skills to support participants with a stoma safely and confidently. Staff will learn about proper hygiene, appliance care, skin monitoring, recognising complications, and providing person-centred support while maintaining dignity and comfort.
